Global InfoTek, Inc. (“GITI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates and maintains the corporate website at www.globalinfotek.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit or interact with the Site or otherwise interact with us.

With regard to the website, This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information collected through the Site in a general marketing or informational context. It does not apply to information we process as an employer, as a federal government contractor in performing work for our customers, or as a service provider under separate agreements; those activities are governed by separate terms and notices.

The Site is operated from the United States and is intended primarily for business and government users located in the United States.

A. Information You Provide

When you submit a contact form or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Any information you choose to include in your message

Please do not include sensitive information (for example, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or information about your race or ethnic origin, political opinions, or religious beliefs) in free‑text fields. If you nonetheless choose to provide such information, we will use it only as reasonably necessary to address your request and then delete or restrict it where appropriate.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, referring pages, and access times

This information is collected through standard web server logs, cookies, and similar technologies, and is used for security, performance, and basic analytics purposes.

C. Information Not Collected Through This Site

Through the Site, we do not:

  • Create user accounts for end users
  • Collect payment or financial information
  • Intentionally collect sensitive personal data, as described above
  • Directly collect employment application data (this is handled by ADP or other third‑party systems, as described below)

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests
  • Communicate with you about our services and business relationship
  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Site
  • Improve Site performance and user experience
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, and protect the rights, safety, or property of GITI, our customers, and others

We do not use personal information collected through the Site for profiling or automated decision‑making in a way that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We also do not “share” personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

We may disclose personal information collected through the Site in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. To trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, security monitoring, analytics, and customer communications, and who are contractually required to protect the information and use it only for our instructions.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Global InfoTek, our customers, or others.

Information we process as part of performing contracts with government or commercial customers (including any Controlled Unclassified Information or similar data) is handled under those contracts and applicable law, not under this Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Maintain and secure basic Site functionality
  • Understand general usage patterns (for example, page views and traffic sources)

We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising or cross‑site tracking. If we implement any non‑essential cookies to, for example, support analytics tools in the future, we will provide additional notice and, where required by law, obtain consent before using them.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some Site features may not function properly.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information collected through the Site only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

As a federal government contractor, we apply security controls appropriate to our role and, where required by contract, aligned with applicable federal cybersecurity requirements and relevant NIST guidance. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you should exercise caution when submitting information online.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information collected through the Site, we will investigate and, where required by law, provide notifications to affected individuals and/or regulators.

8. Third‑Party Services and Links

The Site may link to third‑party websites, applications, or services, including ADP for careers and employment‑related activities. Any information you provide directly to those third parties is subject to their privacy policies and practices, not this Privacy Policy.

We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those third‑party platforms, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for use by adults in a business or government capacity and is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Site.

If you believe we have collected personal information from a minor through the Site, please contact us using the information below so we can take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and on our role with respect to your personal information, you may have certain rights under U.S. state privacy laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, or the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act). To submit a privacy rights request, please contact us using the email or mailing address provided at the end of this policy. Please specify the nature of your request and sufficient information to help us verify your identity. We will respond as required by applicable law.

If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response or contacting us with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. Where required by law, we will inform you in writing of our decision on appeal and how you can contact your state attorney general if you remain unsatisfied.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights that you may have under applicable law.

11. Do‑Not‑Track Signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” feature. At this time, the Site does not respond to Do‑Not‑Track signals or similar mechanisms, because no uniform industry standard has been adopted. We will review and may update this practice if relevant standards are established.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of the Policy and post the updated version on the Site. In the event of material changes, we may also provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site homepage.
